Emergency-ready classrooms start with prepared staff
This American Heart Association course prepares teachers and school staff to respond to the emergencies most likely to happen on campus — from cardiac arrest and choking to injuries and sudden illness.
Our hands-on class connects every skill to real school situations: the classroom, the cafeteria, the playground and the field. Schools can also request a private group class for their staff.

Can our whole school staff train together?
Yes. Schools can request a private group class at our Miami training location. Send a group request and we'll work out dates with you.
Does this course include First Aid?
Yes. This course combines CPR and AED skills with First Aid for common school emergencies.
How long is my certification card valid?
AHA BLS Provider, Heartsaver CPR/AED and Heartsaver K–12 course completion cards are valid for two years. We recommend renewing before your card expires.
When will I receive my certification card?
Your official AHA eCard is issued after successful completion of the course. You will receive an email from the AHA to claim it, and you can look it up any time at ecards.heart.org.
Are your classes in person or online?
All Pulse CPR classes are taught in person at our Miami training location. We do not currently offer online-only or blended (HeartCode) courses.
