Heartsaver questions, answered
Do I need Heartsaver or BLS?
If you work in healthcare or a healthcare program, you almost always need BLS Provider. For most other jobs, schools and childcare requirements, Heartsaver CPR/AED is the right card.
I have no medical experience. Is this course for me?
Absolutely. Heartsaver is built for people with little or no medical training. We start from the basics and coach you step by step.
How long is my certification card valid?
AHA BLS Provider, Heartsaver CPR/AED and Heartsaver K–12 course completion cards are valid for two years. We recommend renewing before your card expires.
When will I receive my certification card?
Your official AHA eCard is issued after successful completion of the course. You will receive an email from the AHA to claim it, and you can look it up any time at ecards.heart.org.
Are your classes in person or online?
All Pulse CPR classes are taught in person at our Miami training location. We do not currently offer online-only or blended (HeartCode) courses.
